*General Blog Update* Hey gang, it's been a spell!!! Unfortunately after this it's gonna go back to being that way. In the long term I hopefully will come back to this as a side project but don't hold your breath, that won't be until this next summer at the soonest (possibly never). I did just want to write my little review of Man's Best Friend here because it is the perfect spot for it. Other stuff like this are the most likely things to be here at any point before I ever get back to writing here weekly again. General Album Review: So I listened at midnight upon release (of course) and to be honest my initial response was that it was ok. I wasn't blown away by it like I was the first time I listened to Short 'n Sweet but it has already grown on me faster that Emails I Can't Send did (Though boy did EICS grow on me!!!). The blog is briefly coming out of hiatus to wish Ava a happy birfday. My current best friend that I don't know, my life would be exactly the same without her. I didn't know she existed prior to last night but now she is so old. She's aged a year in the 48 hours I've known her. What a fickle thing. I hope she gets lost in the utterly explosive energy of birfday festivities.
Today I was walking to the library to slave away on some papers but on my walk, instead of feeling nothingness on account of the mundanity of simply walking to the library, I found myself oddly happy, filled with a warm feeling of cheer. Then it dawned on me, that feeling was the Christmas spirit! I was dressed cozy with a light jacket on with a warm coffee in my hand as I mosey through the cold and light flurries. It was a pleasant cold though, just cold enough that you get the aesthetics of seeing your breath but not offensively cold like January and February (and March). The snow was nice as well, it was hardly even there, you only just barely noticed it and if you weren't actively thinking about it like I was it would be easy to not pay any mind. It's that busy end of the semester too. That is to say there is no difference between this day in mid April and a day from mid December.
